AXIS HOUSE GETS READY FOR
DRC MINING WEEK
As a leader in the development and distribution of reagents, Axis House is looking forward to taking part in this year’s DRC Mining Week, taking place in Lubumbashi between 14 and 16 June.
Axis House will be sponsoring the matchmaking area, always a major highlight of the event. A number of the organisation’s key leaders will be in attendance, including CEO Justine Stubbs, Group MD Quinton Gils, and Carlo Paxton, MD: Bulk Commodities. Carina Claassen, Sales Manager: Africa and Technical Manager Bernard Oostendorp also form part of the delegation, along with the management, technical and sales teams from the company’s DRC operations.
“We have been supporting this event for several years,” Stubbs informs. “It brings tremendous value for all involved in the industry, and as the DRC and Copperbelt are among Axis House’s key markets, we believe it is a must-visit.”
Stubbs adds that she and her team members are looking forward to hearing views and opinions from speakers representing a multitude of players within DRC. “We anticipate that there will be a lot of discourse around the low cobalt pricing, congestions at the border and, of course, energy restraints, as well as changes to the mining charter and PPPs. We’re looking forward to listening to all viewpoints and adding our own insights.
“At the same time, this is an excellent opportunity for networking and catching up with our clients – and, hopefully, introducing our range of products and services to a new audience.” These networking opportunities will also serve as a platform for sharing solutions to common problems and celebrating the successes of the past year. “We’re looking forward to showcasing the latest developments within the organisation. Our team, which includes English, Chinese, and French-speaking colleagues, are all ready to shed light on our technologies and improvement methods.”
Stubbs says that visitors to the matchmaking area can look forward to interesting displays featuring, for example, the latest equipment, while enjoying snacks and refreshments.
